Maureen and I had very different tastes in music, films and other subjects but we were open to sharing those interests. I have a love of stage musicals and had seen Les Miserables as amateur productions and also at The Palace Theatre in the West End. I took Maureen to see the film made to celebrate the 25th anniversary at the cinema and she was smitten. From there we arranged to go to London to see the show for "real". It was a day neither of us forgot. Maureen confessed that her favourite song from the show was "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" and for that reason I have added this to the music library.
